When to Remove a Tree
At Green Image Tree Service, we recognize the importance of urban forests and strive to maintain the health and vitality of city trees. However, certain trees may require removal due to safety or health concerns, particularly those that are large, positioned close to structures, or situated near busy roads—situations that demand careful and expert handling.
Indicators for Tree Removal
Several signs indicate that a tree may need to be removed, including: death or severe disease, causing structural damage to property, roots encroaching on sewer lines, or branches posing a threat to power lines. Our team is here to assess your situation, provide expert guidance, and present all available options to help you make an informed decision.
The Tree Removal Process
Our skilled crew begins tree removal by ascending the tree and systematically removing limbs from the top down. Larger branches are carefully cut into manageable sections and lowered to the ground using ropes, allowing precise control and ensuring safety throughout the process. Smaller branches are removed progressively from the outer edges of the canopy inward toward the main trunk.
Once only the trunk remains, the crew continues by cutting the trunk into smaller sections from the top down until it is short enough to be safely cut as close to the ground as possible—typically just a few inches above grade. Depending on the trunk size, our Certified Arborists will discuss stump grinding options tailored to your needs.
When tree removal is required, our experienced crews arrive on-site equipped with years of expertise. A key component of their skill set is proficiency in rigging techniques—using ropes to secure the climber’s harness and guide limbs safely to the ground. This rigging ensures that removals are conducted safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.
Our team is capable of removing trees of all sizes and complexities, whether it’s a large tree in a confined space, over a roof or pool, or in an open yard. We approach each job with precision and care, ensuring successful removal regardless of location or challenge.
The debris left behind after tree removal can be substantial. At Green Image Tree Service, we are committed to completing the job thoroughly by including debris removal in every project. If you would like to retain any of the wood or limbs for personal use, such as firewood, simply let us know—we are happy to accommodate your request.
